BITCH MACBETH

written and directed by Frank Cwiklik

with Rasheed Hinds, Jennifer Clark, Ian W. Hill, Carrie Johnson, Adam Swiderski, Sarah Jane Bunker, Matthew Gray, Bryan Enk, Michele Schlossberg, Nicole Marsh, Peter Brown, Amy Caitlin Carr, Daniel Koenig, John Mazurek and Douglas Scott Sorenson as Small Asbury

A prophecy in the whip-worn scars of a penitent slave’s back: Macbeth is chosen. As he and his Femme rise, kill and slaughter, the House of Asbury unravels publicly. Daughter Prime is sold into an abyss of sadosexual torment and her brother, Small, joins his slave and confidante in a burgeoning sexual revolution that may bring about the total destruction of this ancient civilization. Fate is what we make of it. Sex is currency. Love is foreign and language is fractured in this world where existence is short and merciless. All hail Bitch Macbeth.

This play contains graphic violence, simulated sex and nudity. Due to the sensitive subject matter and explicit content, no one under 18 will be admitted.

"IT'S SPELLBINDING!" "...apocalyptic, disturbing, unsettling, and challenging. You won't be able to get it out of your mind." "...there are moments when it honestly astonishes with its power and weird beauty." "Cwiklik is a director of budding brilliance and I can't wait to see what he comes up with next..." "Douglas Scott Sorenson is compelling as Small Asbury." - Martin Denton, NYTheatre.com, pick of the week

"Wildly ambitious, uniformly terrific, evocative, powerful..." "...a psychosexual fever dream of domination, submission and the wages of power." -- Tom Penketh, Backstage.com
